Description:

The Water Resources Management Programme, co-financed by KfW Development Bank, aims to provide a safe and cost-efficient water supply for selected project locations in Jordan. Further components focus on improving wastewater disposal and the reuse of treated wastewater.

The programme involves monitoring the following projects, which are implemented by individually selected engineering consultants:

  • Reuse of treated wastewater for irrigation in the Northern Jordan valley
  • Water loss reduction in the Middle Governorates
  • Water loss reduction in Amman
  • Water loss reduction in Karak
  • Sewerage networks in Aydoun and Huwwara
  • Sewerage Bait Rass
  • Sewerage and wastewater treatment in Karak and Koferanjha

Services provided by IMS:

IMS operates a project office in the Water Authority and is assisting the project executing agency with the following services throughout the preparation and implementation of the projects under the Water Resources Management Programme:

  • General coordination and management of the programme
  • Time, cost and quality control during project implementation
  • Assistance during tendering and contracting
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Budget monitoring
